Lucius Malfoy

Lucius Malfoy was a pure blood wizard and a member of the Death Eaters and took part in the first wizarding war. He escaped imprisonment and remained a member of the social elite.

Despite Lord Voldemort’s defeat he once more served him as a Death Eater in the second wizarding war but later defected and once again escaped imprisonment.

Not being a Harry Potter fan myself I don’t know too much about this character other than what I have read on the internet. As a minifigure it’s nothing that unique but being what apparently is key character in the Harry Potter series, Lucius is a worthy minifigure for the collection.

Harry Potter In Hogwarts Uniform

There are several versions of the Harry Potter minifigure, each having small differences. This one is in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry uniform which consists of the grey jumper with the school emblem on it and the black trousers.

Harry also has his wand, although in LEGO terms this is just a brown rod which is a bit of an easy option and I know LEGO could have done better considering other accessories I’ve seen in other themed minifigures.

I don’t have much Harry Potter themed sets or figures and now isn’t going to be the best time to buy them as the latest film has only recently come out so they are more popular at the moment. When the hype dies down a little bit I may expand my Harry Potter minifigure collection.

Dobby

Dobby is a house elf and was treated badly by his Dark Wizard masters from the Malfoy family. After Lucius Malfoy was tricked into freeing Dobby, he joined the Hogwarts kitchens.

Dobby helped Harry on a number of occasions before being fatally wounded. Harry buried Dobby in a shallow grave as a free elf.

This is another of the short legged minifigures that doesn’t really have much too it apart from the unique moulded head. With the release of the latest Harry Potter film, it’s a character that is quite significant and good for the collection.

Harry Potter Minifig

The Harry Potter themed sets have a good range of minifigs with them. To be honest, I’m not a big Harry Potter fan, and have only seen about 80% of the first film, but the mini figures are pretty cool, and have some good features that could be used for building custom figures.

This is one of my Harry Potter figures, even the simple addition of the more over sized hair than normal really helps make this figure look right.

I’ll be picking up a few more Harry Potter characters as and when I can, but Star Wars figures are the ones I’m going after more at the moment.
