What is this newest threat?? Get ready to defend the universe from extraterrestrial pests with this 2013 Galaxy Squad LEGO theme. We now have six of the set references and names, and this comic book introductory picture. This new space theme sounds as if it’s been inspired by the 1997 movie Starship Troopers, as the set names suggest Earth is being attacked by wasp like creatures along with other creepy bugs.
LEGO have been known in the past to update themes that did not sell very well, so perhaps this is a nod towards the 1998′s Insectoids theme which was cancelled after just one wave.
