Now that the new wave of 2013 Star Wars minifigures have been released we will be reviewing each one separately, however I thought I would give my overall impression of this new wave. We have a nice poster for you to download so click on the image above to increase its size. We have already mentioned the LEGO Star Wars 2013 Sets which lists the sets and the minifigures.
The new Clone minifigures are excellent which includes the impressive 501st Clone Trooper and Clone Pilot. Clone fans will be delighted with their quality and especially the fact that Captain Rex has been updated. The only thing I was a bit disappointed at was the quality of the Droidekas, I think the design could have been better to make them look more realistic.
To complete The Clones Wars line up the Pong Krell minifigure looks great along with the updated Ahsoka Tano, and the Umbaran soldiers.
As many of you know I am a huge Star Wars The Old Republic fan so I was delighted at the release of the Republic Troopers vs Sith Troopers battle pack. The Sith troopers are amazing and it was great to finally have some Republic troopers to go with the 2012 minifigures. Be sure to check out our Old Republic Custom Minifigures.
If you bought Jabba’s Palace in 2012 then you will definitely have to buy the Rancor Pit to complete the collection of minfigures including the impressive Rancor.
My least favourite sets are the Battle of Hoth which has one unique minifigure General Rieekan and the A-wing Starfighter which has an updated A-wing Pilot.
Yesterday we released the list of LEGO 2013 Polybags and today we have managed to find images 3 of the Star Wars polybags. They all look excellent!
The 4 polybags are:
30240 Star Wars Z-95 Headhunter
30241 Star Wars Gauntlet
30242 Star Wars Republic Frigate
30243 Star Wars Umbarran MHC
Hopefully this will keep Star Wars LEGO fans busy collecting until the summer wave arrives.
